Default affects on muscle gains from too much cardo ?

hi every one my aim to become fit and gain decent muscle size and definition. if i train to much cardio will i not achieve as good muscle gains and if i do too much weights i will not be able to become as fit . how many times of of each types of work outs do you recomend so they both become balanced

i was thinking of just using my weights at home every three days and doing cardio three times a week for around an hour.

thanks every one

You do need a balance between the two otherwise too much cardio will catabolise the muscle.
3 days of each is fine but cut the cardio to 30 mins max, and vary the intensity from sesson to session.
Also for muscle groth you must allow for the fact that you will need extra calories for the weight training and especially the cardio. About 500-700 calories per day more than you are consuming now.
Aim for 6-10 reps in the weight training, starting with a whole body workout each session, ie legs, back chest shoulders and arms giving each bodypart 3-4 sets to begin with.
PM me if you need help

J

yeah i agree with zx9rjas

keep the cardio to a minimum, you will gain more muscle this way.

i agree, but make sure you don't do what i did and interpret the 'cardio to a minimum' as a 5 min warm-up on the treadmill and nothing more!

i slacked on cardio big time over the last few months and payed the price in fat gain, lost half a stone of fat while cutting 4-5 months back and now i'm back where i started again because i cut all my cardio out in an attempt to pack on muscle

cardio is very important, 2 sessions a week minimum at no longer than 20mins should be fine, this won't interfere with muscle gains

peace

hi every1, sorry i haven't posted for so long

I'm on a cut at the moment and i'm aiming for 1 hour of low intensity cardio (keeping heart rate at 135 - 140 i.e. the fat burning zone for my age ) each day, combining this with only 30 minutes of weights or even less (but very intense) just to make sure I dont lose any muscle, eating very high protein, low-ish carbs and low fat per day.

What i've found which has been surprising is that I am still hurting majorly in the areas that i have been training. This is a shock because previously only when I do ridiculously long days of training and very intense do I seem to hurt a lot in the muscle area (and this is good after gym pain i'm talking about not weird pain).

I feel much more healthy too and ephedrine is definitely taking well to me, aside from the sideeffects downstairs, which is very frustrating but going to get my hands on some tribulus to try and sort it out. although the negative effects seemed to have lessened compared to last time I cut.

So although i'm not having a particularly muscle-building time at the moment i think i'm doing a sensible cut, and because i'm not training in too high an intensity on the cardio i'm unlikely to catabolise the muscle as u say J.

Tell me if i'm wrong tho.

thx guys

nick

Are you sure it is eph that you have got? I have never experienced any problems down stairs on it.

Is this a usual thing? anyone else had it?
