He's 5 weeks out from Olympia 2001 in that video and repping 200lb dumbbells for 12 reps on bench. What a monster ______________________ thricefan@cyber-rights.net You have to do what others won't to achieve what others don't. |

That said none has come close to arnies chest development. I do have a great deal of respect for people like ronnie, jay and dexter etc. as it takes alot of focus and motivation. This is due to advances in supplements, steroids and training knowledge. With todays advances how big do you think arnie and the lads would have got and faired against todays olyimpians :?: Also, having talked to alot of women and shown them pics of arnie, lou and franco they find their bodies good looking 200lb dumbells for 12... thats fuking mental  Steve, heres a link for stay hungry on dvd http://www.store4dvd.com/index.php?a...&aff_id=196189 VHS has been cancelled in the uk. ______________________ 50% of bodybuilding is nutrition 50% of body building is not overtraining If you cant gain see the above |

Back in the day, when I watched pumping iron, I hated every bodybuilders shoulders, they were like nothing compared to todays bodybuilders. Also their legs lacked hardcore. Arnold has some wicked chest, if you saw when he did dumbell flies for his chest, a ball would pop out, that type of chest I have never seen after that. Arnolds back was allright and his arms. Those bodybuilders were light weight back then, but still it would nice to see them develop their bodies in these times alongside all the new generation of bodybuilders, they'll probably be much bigger. Nowadays bodybuilders tend to aim for a lot of size and then look at attaining the proportion and symmetery/definitiion. Back then, they found an ideal size and sculpted it straight away. There were not many bodybuilders who weighed more than 250 pounds. Today, you can see people like markus ruhl or ronnie coleman come in on stage at 280 pounds plus, in their off seasons they go to about 320 I think. In terms of woman and a respectable physique, the 70's bodybuilders had it I think, don't really need to go over the top like the bodybuilders of today unless your turning professional. |

I thought he looked better than Arnold with him being shorter and more compact. He was originally a powerlifter and I bet he could match most of todays bodybuilders for deads. I recently read that Frank Zane won the olympia at around 190lbs, it would be impossible to compare him and Ronnie Coleman as their builds are light years different. Who would win? |
