Default i'm stuck, can't seem to bust through this plateau

I need some guidance guys. After 3 months of training I hit a plateau and decided to change my workout. I am 2 weeks into the new regime and so far no weight gain. I have also added an extra protein shake making it 3 a day and have also added a protein bar to my breakfast. I now do 4 different workouts a week - chest+side/front delts, back+rear delts, legs, arms. I used to do 3 a week - chest+shoulders+triceps, back+biceps, legs. I take dymatize elite whey. I cannot find the source of my problem. The only other option I could try is creatine for a month or so.

Ice,

When was the last time you had a break from training?

havent really had a break in 14 weeks, except 4 days out with a mouth infection which was fairly recent. I seemed to put the weight back on fairly quickly but since then my weight has been up and down.

I agree with Tissue, give it another couple of weeks, a new schedule can take time to kick in. Remember you are breaking the muscles down in different ways than your body is used to, give it a bit more time, I'm sure you'll see results.

Also, i find that when I feel a bit despondent about my training, I don't train as well and results can be sluggish. I know it sounds daft but try to be positive, throw yourself into it and give it 100% each session. Visualise the results you want to see rather that where you are at now. When you get to a plateau you can sometimes just go through the motions without realising it.

Stick at it ice, let me know how you get on.

Could try a week or so off from traning, your muscles & CNS might need a break!

Its advised to take a week break every 8 - 12 weeks of traning

Give it time mate.

Post your stats and diet information and we can see if we can help.
You should not hit a plateau untill you have at least been training for 6-9 months, before that you should gain weight just turning up at the gym and doing any sort of weights
