Default Pec Dec

What's the sort of weight you guys use on the pec dec? I know this varies with each individuals own ability, but just wanted to gauge what others are doing I started at the gym 3 months ago and was doing 75lb pec flyes and really feeling it afterwards/next day. Now I'm doing 150lb pec flyes no probs. Is that a decent imporvement, and should I keep adding the weight?
Si

I dont use the pec dec simon, but thats a sure sign that youre gaining strength and confidence by the day, keep adding to what you can handle, its simply progressive overload. Are your reps low i take it they are, keep going mate youre doing fine.

Tissue, wish I was doing what you are doing when I was 16. I'm ten years further down the line and wish I'd kept training when I was younger. You are doing very well by the sounds so keep it up!!

Dave.

Dave, I am keeping my reps to 8 - 10 max. Seems to be doing the trick. Sometimes I do a tiny bit more weight than I can do lots of, and maybe get 4 - 6 reps on the heavier weight. I find that after a wee while, the heavier 4 - 6, becomes my 8 - 10 max sets, and so the process continues. Think thats an ok way to train?

Absolutely Si, like i said its the theory of progression in reps, and evrytime you go past the point of sensible reps, thus the overload comes into effect, or in simpler terms, heavy weights low reps and keep going until you are lifting heavier and heavier, keep it going Si you WILL continue to progress, well done.

well done tissue, thats good going mate, soon be stacking it

i reckon pec deck has to be the best exercie for the chest,i done alot of these when i first started chest exploded,

well done sy,didnt take long for the increase in weight

do u right down the weights you do each week, tiny increases is the best way, this way you can get heavier over a month or so,but you still have good form.

i got upto stacking the machine for about 6 reps at one point
