Default BREATHING

Hi all, one of my neighbours was asking about breathing during workouts, I replied by saying that many fitness instructors/coaches,say you must breathe "out"during the lift and "in" during the negative part of a rep. As lots of other fitness instructors etc say you must do the opposite. Personally and in reality i dont think it makes any difference so long as you are comfortable. I was wondering what you guys thoughts on this are.

Interesting one Dave.

For me it only works if I breath out during the lift, and in on the negative.

I think in part it may be because when I'm focused and going for it (during a lift), I normally need to exert some air.

Fair play Steve, if it nots broken, why fix it, some people have to do it religiously and i think they can put more strain on themselves, and thats where problems start cropping up.

what i found dave,is when i concentrated on breathing i seemed to lift alot less.

most of the time now i hold my breath when training ,i find this gives me extra power.

i totally agree if it aint broke dont try to fix it.
