| Under Construction Join Date: Apr 2004 Posts: 10 Rep Power: ![]() | Hi all just wondering how u guys like to do shrugs i.e angle of neck . I find that if i lean my neck forward i get i higher aand stronger squeeze on my traps is this still ok to do?? many thanks 8) |

| Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 0 Rep Power: ![]() | i just do em standing completely straight.works for me i dont see leaning the knech forward a little bit would hurt,might hit them a little differently. but as long as your getting stronger and still growing keep doing them. |

Rowing movements and deadlifting should be enough to work the traps, depending on your genetics. | Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 0 Rep Power: ![]() | I use dumbells and go straight up and down. No rolling of the shoulders. Traps are designed to move are shoulders up and down not back and forwards. And you would be supprised at how little weight you have to lift to make your traps grow. I see guys in the gym put tremendous weight on a bar to exercise what is a relatively small muscle. All this does for me is add to the risk of injury. |
