When I train I do my chest, shoulders and tricpes (in that order) on the same day and I really blast them, then allow full recovery.

If your training your chest one day and shoulders the next and triceps the day after that you are not giving your muscles enogh time to rest from the previous workouts.

When working the chest (Bench Press at least) your using the shoulders (fronts) and triceps + a few other muscles which I wont bore you with and if your working your chest hard, your also doing the same with your shoulders and Triceps.
