Default I just cant waste my bi's

I find all the time when trying to really waste my arms i can't make them hurt, you know what i mean, like when the last couple of bench presses are really hard and painful. When doing curls or whatever i cant force the last reps, i simply can lift them until i cant anymore without an intermediate stage.
Any suggestions or good exercises?
The thing is i dont like to leave the gym feeling like i didnt push myself.
cheers guys

they are good,

can be hard to judge the right amount of weight when u first start doing them.

best to start with a weight that you can finish a set with good form

Next time you train arms try running the rack. Do standing dumbell curls and pick a weight you can do a strict 10-12 reps. Once you have done that without resting work your way down the dumbell rack doing a slightly lighter weight every time until you reach the lightest weight avaliable. Do each set to failure. See how your arms feel after that!
