Always best to lower it controlled and slowly, its reduces risk of injury and burns you out that little bit more. Good lifting bro

ive always gone to the floor with the weight as i thought it was the right way to go..but trying it this way feels so much more comfortable as far as my legs and backs concerned i lower it too within a few inches of the ground is this what you mean or not?and i always do deads at the begining of my back workout is that reccomended.

By not going all the way down you gain better is what I understand.

However I touch the ground as it tends to be difficult to lift it back up, but could this be considered a strength development form instead?
