Default Starting out.. Please look

Hi.

I am 16, and at the minute I dont have the time, or the money for that matter to go to a gym.

How can I start out working out at home, I want to get muscle on my arms and gain a six-pack, can I do this from home?

Also what food should I eat in order to help me do this?

How long do you think it will take doing this at home, and how much should I do.

Sorry about all the questions.

Thanks

Adam

Well that depends mate, what equiptment do you have at home, Dumbells, Barbells, Bench etc IMHO I would advise you joined a gym.

Putting on muscle isn't an instant thing, either, it takes a long time I'd say a year or so till you stat showing some pretty good gains, don't worry you will notice something in a couple of months, but the gains you get are all dependent on your diet and training.

And also you just want muscle on your arms?? what about everywhere else? If you want to look good you gotta train your whole body or you'd just have big arms and a measly pidgen chest, and you wouldnt want that

Hope that helped
Benj

PS. Think strongly about joining a gym if your really determined to get muscular then that would really help!

Hi adam, the course i mentioned about in the beginners section, can be used in your local gym, as it can be in home, dietary requirements all depend on what you want to become,if you want to get massive then bulking is for you, 6 small meals per day, containing, protein, carbohydrates and fat, water is also vital you will require to drink 10-12 glasses per day, if you take time out and surf the boards you will get all the information you need to get started, and as you will have questions, when youre ready to start post a note and you wont be short of answers, like i said you couldnt be on a better board, for tips and advice. If you are still unsure about what i have said get back to me or to any of the guys here, we are all glad to help and we all started right where you are.

Adam,

After a few months of learning how to complete movements at a gym you could always set up your own home gym (depending on space and funds).

Take a look at my article in the "Training Articles" section. It explains all you need to know about the benefits of working out at home and what to expect.
