Yes i would recomend them but as supplements go its not going to give any noticable effects or feelings within your body.Magnesium is considered an anti-stress mineral. Its a natural tranquilizer but not to the extent that it will aid in restfull sleep its functions go much deeper. It functions to relax skeletal muscle on a physical level not mentally. It is important in the production and transfer of energy(many people who suffer chronic fatigue have Magnesium deficiencies but have know idea),in muscle contraction and relaxation,in nerve conduction,in protein synthesis and in many biochemical reactions.Zinc is also an essential mineral to aid in growth and muscle tissue repair after training but again you wont know whats its doing inside you you just have to trust its doing its job and exept it as a part of your diet.
