Default Upset stomach...

Ive been trying to take shakes and snack bars but i seem to be having a bad reaction to them. My stomach will make lots of gurgling noises which will be followed by a lot of gas and frequent trips to the loo with a *little* bit of diarreah (sp?) but mostly just poo that isn't really a solid shape, it just comes out in pieces along with a lot of gas. It mostly seems to be when I take supplements with a lot of protein in. It's happened with whey protein shakes and protein orientated snack bars..but recently it happened with an oat orientated bar...which I was a little concerned about as I didn't think that would affect me.

Why do I keep getting these reactions? Is it something I need to speak to my doctor about? I'd like to carry on taking shakes and bars but maybe i'd need to change what the supplements consist of?

Frequent loo visits are consistent with a high protien diet as is exessive flatulence.Since i've been giving Met-Rx Supreme whey a try i'm letting rip every 5 minutes on the button. And i'm clearing out stadium size crowds.Did'nt have it that bad on the O.N. Gold.Try getting a bit more fibre into you in an attempt to make things a little more solid.I don't have any suggestions with regards to the smell save maybe hanging a Magic Tree from your crutch!

yeah, id say completely normal too - some products will hit you worse than others but stinky protein farts and regular loo trips are pretty common for me too.

You may want to check the ingredients,if it contains egg albumin then change to one that hasn't,it might do the trick.
I get the same effect when i take that too,im fine with products without it,its a very common problem i have seen on the forums.

Sorry I've taken so long to reply back guys...but thanks everyone for the replies. i'm nearly out of my N-Large 2 powder so I'll try something else and see if I can hold it in better.

But it's nothing to worry about if it happens though? I just worry my body is going to get dehydrated from all this excessive sloppy pooing and flatulance lol.

Oh and it's funny you mention the smell as lately I've been smelling 'it' to see how bad it is...I assume the less stinky it is the more healthy poo it is?

That would make for some interesting pics!

If i remeber right N-large 2 gave me and my mate a terrible case of Anthrax ar$e a year or two ago, you'll find different supps have different effects on your bowel movements.
