I like oats, but I've stopped having them PWO as the fibre slows down the digestion of everything. I think it has made a different, but my evidence is anecdotal at best. Cornflour/WMS becomes available quicker due to the way its absorbed (from memory) In the grand scheme of things - it doesn't really matter one iota IMHO - as long as you at some point get some protein and some carbs down your neck after exercising you'll be fine. I still think breakfast is a more important meal personally. Its too easy to get hung up on the small things, when its the big things which matter - Training, Food and Rest | |

| Moderator Musclechat Icon Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 1,838 Rep Power: ![]() | the diegstion rate of WMS is faster, whether that digestion rate makes a visible difference to how well your body will put on muscle or replenish lost muscle glycogen over the next 24 hours before you train again is debateable... technically it is better but in the real world is that difference big enough to make an impact. i prefer WMS, i suffer from irritable bowel and find that the WMS gives me less bloat and im ready to eat quicker afterwards... so if your next meal is very soon after your post workout shake (i.e. within half an hour to an hour) id say WMS is better as in theory you will be hungrier and ready to eat more. ______________________ If your not a part of the greatest... you got to be the greatest yourself!
