Default Extreme Build and Recover

Just wondering whether this should just be taken as a post workout shake or if it can be taken in the morning on non training days??

I notice its rammed full of vitamins etc so was thinking of taking it in the morning on non training days and then after my workout on training days.

Tastes pretty awesome too!!

Any guidance appreciated!

I use it as a general shake - in the AM with Oats and then PWO.

Thats why its called Build and Recover as it's a post workout drink, however nothing stopping you from having it whenever you want to. If it were me id probably go with an MRP 1st thing in the morning and not a Build and Recover drink. Build and Recover is fast acting and gets into your system quickley as this is what is required directly after training. 1st thing in the morning your best of with slow releasing proteins and carbs, the same throughout the day id think.

surely that makes build and recover ideal first thing in the morning following that reasoning as youre body hasnt eaten for 8 hours.

Just noticed your looking to reduce your weight, just my opinion but i would not take Build and Recover throughout the day and just use it as a post workout drink, its very good for this.

In the morning your best of with a low carb MRP follow the link Carb Watchers Lean Body x 20 - Labrada - Body Temple - Buy this will help you lose even more weight as you will be restricting your carb intake.

also check out this link to low carb foods, Avidlite low carb foods

well done on your weight loss mate keep it up, doing well....

You might have a point Cal, think it maybe down to opinions really, i currently use a slow releasing MRP as then my next meal will be 2.30 hours later, whereas my thinking was a fast acting drink Build and Recover (which is not an MRP) maybe leaving you feeling hungry within an hour and half maybe.

I think its perhaps 25% carbs from Dextrose and Maltro which doesn't really serve any purpose to me personally as an MRP "as-is" - which is why I add the Oats oh and Milk. I should have said that.

Depends what kind of diet you are following. 'I think its perhaps 25% carbs from Dextrose and Maltro' at no point in the day other than post workout is a shake that has has that formula going to be suitable when dieting.

Equally no carbs in the morning is a great way to lose muscle. Even when using a TKD diet (time ketogenic) one of set times to eat carbs is first thing in the morning (the other two being pre and post workout). IMO do not use build and recover first thing but definitely eat steadily releasing carbs.

I advise a lot of guys to use B&R first thing in the morning and post workout.

There are 3 carbs in it, the third being fructose, which will stimulate an insulin release but the 4 proteins are in a time release fashion so will slow down the digestion. The theory is to increase insulin but to give it the slower absorbed protein to shuttle into the muscles which will take longer thus producing a highly anabolic state for a longer period.
