Default Creatine advice anyone?

Just wondered what peoples views we're on Creatine.

I first used a product you've all probably heard of - Cyclone.....which is basically an all-in-one powder drink which consists of creatine, protein, glutamine, hmb and so on.

I had really good results with this but the taste is like cats piss (not that i know what that tastes like). Can anyone recommend a high quality creatine supplement that works well and tastes ok. Oh and has anyone got advice on the correct way to take it..........ive heard too many opinions from people b4 registering on this site and want to hear advice from experienced bodybuilders.

So.............

do you need to incorporate a loading phase on creatine?

is creatine more effective pre OR post workout? (common sense would say pre-workout i know, but ive had advice telling me this is nonsense).

Advice on this subject would be much appreciated.

Thanks

do a search on here for kre-volution mate.. its the mutts nutts as far as creatine goes in my opinion.. no need to load.

if you decide on regular creatine monohydrate my advice is:

- no need to load
- 5g im mornings every day
- 5g after training (with post training shake) on training days.
- drink penty fluids

Cheers LeeB.

After doing some researching on this website about creatine products, the kre-volution one is the one thats been championed the most. Ive still got half a tub of USN Crea-pro so once ive got thru this i'll be purchasing the kre-volution.

What do people here think of creatine full stop? Some people swear by it where as others say as long as you drink alot of water then you don't need it.

I know where the water thing comes from, but creatine is a different thing all together.

If you google creatine you should find some good articles.

I'm going back onto C-Mono next week.

i agree with hula... im not a big fan of supplements in general (apart from the ones which are food/nutrient replacements) creatine has always worked for me but i have always suffered from excessive bloat with it... kr-evolution when i tried it really surprised me and everyone who i have reccomended it to since has had excellent results also!

Creatine is the energy source your muscles use during every muscular contraction from blinking an eye to flexing your biceps. It is the first line of defence against catabolism, your muscles will use it for energy before the cannibalise themselves.

It is stored in the muscle cells and acts as a cell volumiser by attracting water into the muscles as well which makes them bigger and fuller.

There are various versions of creatine which are all based on creatine monohydrate, monohydrate was the original but causes some unpleasant side effects (upset stomach, kidney pains, bloating, wind, water retention, indigestion and cramps) on some people.

I've read the science on all the new and improved versions but I think they are all flawed with the exception of kre-alkalyn, hence the reason we released it as a supplement (Bodybuilding Supplements, Fitness Clothing : Kr-EVOLUTION - 120 caps [Kr-EVOLUTION] - £27.95)
