Default Creatine . . . 25g/day loading phase!

Can someone explain the loading phase . . . is it really necessary?

Also, just purchased some pure monohydrate from muscletech, the instructions say 25g per day during the 'loading' phase and up to 15g per day from there after. Seems a little excessive to me . . . ?

some say load others dont....
15mgs is OTT tho
5g a day maintance and maybe 5g after training too.

you should e kre alk is very good stuff!

Use 5g/day, any more is not needed. Nothing other than monohydrate has any serious science behind it, mono is all I use personally.

must have been quite expensive from muscletech?

25g a day is stupid in my opinion, why on earth would they reccomend that much? and 15g a day is also excessive.

5g in morning, on training days 5g with post workout shake also!

or buy some kre-volution!!

Couple of my mates went on the muscletech stuff.

And they all said they actually felt strength differences with their stuff!

with extra creatine in you should feel a difference in strength.. by all means use the muscletech stuff you have..

but personally i dont feel theres a need to load and definitely NOT at those amounts.. 5-10g a day max in my opinion!

The loading phase marketing bull comes from an old research article by the Marie Curie institute. They saw that by loading you reached saturation point faster. Sort of common sense really.

However most companies immediately jumped on this as a way to sell more of the product.

Yes when you reach saturation quicker you get quicker results but then you build tolerance faster. You still reach the same level by using 5g a day just at a slower rate.
