Default Re: Creatine . . . 25g/day loading phase!

Tom is right on the money.

The human body naturally holds around 2g of creatine in its reserves, a fully loaded human body can only hold 5g (6g on the Ronnie Colemans among us). So we're looking to top up around 3g a day so taking 5g should cut it even though the minute its mixed in water and the instant it reaches the hydrochloric acid of the stomach it starts converting to creatinine we only need around 3g to make it thru.

I would say to people to have a level teaspoon before breakfast and a rounded teaspoon right after training (or even better a Build & Recover because its a tick all the boxes post workout drink).

cheers for your help guys . . . will start 5mg per day tomorrow. 1 tsp of creatine and 5 tsp of glucose mixed with 2 litres of water, drunk slowly throughout the day, heard thats the best way to get it in your system.

richtires, if you put the glucose in and creatine in water and leave it there all day it will degrade so the creatine will be useless... you need to mix your creatine and take it straight away.
