Pretty obvious that amino tabs are alot easy to ingest, but how many grams of protein are in each tab? Approximately of course? Also, me and a mate have had this long running debate as to whether the Amino number i.e. Amino 1000's is any indication of the power or protein content. Is it just a number? Richtries |

I think Amino 1000s are a gram of aminos. (1000mg) Theres no protein in aminos but there are aminos in Protein... The reason we eat protein is to get protein aminos. From memory BCAA tabs only contain the 3 BCAA aminos. Protein shakes can contain the full 22 aminos. | |

A good whey protein Isolate does the same thing and gives you more for your money. For example a 2lb tub of Reflex whey isolate is roughly 800g protein and is roughly £30.00 800 tablets of "Amino 1000" would cost roughly £90-£100. I know which one I use. ______________________ APPLIED KNOWLEDGE, IS POWER!!! The real challenge is to be yourself in a world that wants you to be someone else!! www.rippedglutes.net |

If for example you are exercising at the time, you wish to avoid activating your digestive system and just consume aminos - they get directly into the blood stream as does glucose. Aminos also raise insulin much more than standard protein sources. |

So, with amino 10'000's, there are 10 grams per tab? Or have I got this completely wrong! Excellent explanation on the science raz. Are you hinting that digested protein (amino's) is better than other protein sources such as shakes? Neil R . . . I managed to get 800 tabs of Anabolic Amino 10'000's for £25. |

Depends on your protein source mate. 100g uncooked chicken has about 30g of Protein (according to the label on the chicken I get from Sainsburys) Whey Isolate is 90g of Protein per 100g Whey Concentrate is 80g of Protein per 100g But I don't know what the above will contain in terms of aminos and I don't know what aminos you are getting from your tabs... Are you getting all 22? or just the BCAAs? |

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong I normally switch to aminos towards the end of pre contest diet, based solely on that product they do appear to be a more expensive version of the same product so I've bought the whey isolate which on a gram for gram basis is cheaper. you need 6 Olimp AA 5500 caps to provide 5424 mg of amino acids so I would say don't go by the number it's just a name. I am using liquid aminos toward the last qtr of a workout to get some aminos in ASAP and hopefully provide a bit of an insulin spike in preparation for my post workout whey. I'm thinking the liquid form is likely to be quicker absorbed than the caps - could be completely wrong of course.... |
