And that these supplements are actually contributing very little, have you ever put it to the test, maybe the cost is outweighing the benefits? Just offering a hypothesis, not sure thats the correct grammar. I mean I will say; creatine gives me more energy down the gym, but I've lost faith in the other sups like protein, glutamine, zma etc etc Good to hear what you think? Richtries p.s. considering turning to the dark side to be honest! |

Solid food is great and I understand when people say "your better off eating real food rather than supps", but I'd love to see something to support that train of thought is right. Chicken, steak, fish, etc are all available to us by coincidence where CERTAIN supplements are designed to meet the requirements of the human body - an example would be protein blends designed to supply all 22 aminos, chicken and steak only contain 18, tuna only 14 aminos. If you buy the equivilent amount of protein in steak or chicken compared to a tub of protein I'll put money on the protein working out to be cheaper per serving than the meat. Another point I'd like to raise with the "supps don't work" crew is could it be that; A. your buying a crap brand. B. your not taking enough to make a difference. C. the particular brand your using may not agree with you due to an ingredient (gum, sweetner, higher lactose, etc). D. your not going to grow anyway thru poor training or crap genetics. I've seen people win shows after preparing pretty much on supps alone and only 1 or 2 solid meals per day, so the supps don't work theory is bollox in my opinion. I was at my biggest and best when I was at college (17'2 with abs) and I was having 5 or 6 protein drinks a day, chips and beans for lunch and chicken and steak with veg at night. At the time I couldn't afford a better lunch and being at college I couldn't get home in time to cook and then get back and I couldn't afford much in the way of decent food either so protein drinks were a godsend to me. ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition!
