| Under Construction Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Glasgow Posts: 10 Rep Power: ![]() | Hey all, I've got protein shakes and creatine (also bcaa's but I've not started with them yet) I train mon-wed-fri. When should I take each and how much should i take? I never know how many scoops of protein to put in and on the tub it's like "yeah stick in 6 heaped scoops and take it 58 times a day" possible tryin to get me jus to buy more but if i put loads in i jus get bagged up and then can't workout |

| Banned Making Progress | Hi m8....i take my Whey protein in the morning then again after training. Creatine,,1 hour b4 workout, and 1 hour after workout Whey protien, I use 125 ml of milk or water,1 scoop of whey,, whatever it says on your creatine tub,,i would stick to that, But then again you will get other responses from more experience bodybuilders. I have just started doing it... Hope it hels ya,,, |

| Moderator Musclechat Icon Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 1,935 Rep Power: ![]() | pretty much as muscleman said. whey is best first thing in morning (with breakfast) and immdeiately after training. ususally an amount that gives 25-30g of protein will suffice. creatine - in morning and with your whey straight after training. bcaas - about 10 mins before you train! ______________________ If your not a part of the greatest... you got to be the greatest yourself! | Under Construction Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Bristol, UK Posts: 84 Rep Power: ![]() | and 1 before you go to bed, As your muscles heal the best when you are asleep so take a shake to help them along! I also ususally have a shake 30mins before i go to the gym aswell! So 1 in the morning With Creatine, 1 Before Training(30min), 1 After training with Creatine, and 1 before you go to bed. Also if you want you can add 1 for lunch with a small snack and 1 2hrs after your gym session dependant on what you have had for dinner. Hope this helps mate. I usually have 4 Protein Shakes and 2 level teaspoons of creatine a day + Flaxseed oil at night before i go to bed, Cheers |

Ideally with milk and some natural peanut butter/EFAs, to slow down absorbtion. And then 1 before i go to bed every night. i take my FLAX aswell before i go to bed. NICK500 i take my shake at night with WATER, does it really make much difference. The thing is i want to lose some bodyfat as all the bulking is not exactly wanted on me belly. So i take all shakes with water. But does it make a big difference? Cheers bud |
