Default Before bed protein

Up until now i've been having 5 - 10 grams of EFAs, 1/2 pint skimmed milk, 1/2 pint soy milk, and 1 or 2 scoops of whey with it, perhaps some peanut butter too.

I'm looking, just for ease-sake, for a pre-bed shake that i can buy that isn't too expensive - so every time i'm about to go to bed i just take 2 scoops of it in water and i'm done.

I can't stomach eating just before bed in the way of cottage cheese etc, perhaps meat though? just find it a lot easier to drink.

what do you think is the best before bed meal

Nick

am guessing extreme is the best to answer this fully.

but would a normal slowish digesting protein... i.e. extreme protein be a good idea.. you could add in some udos oil and some fibre and would this not slow the absorbtion down alot also?

i often add lepicol from holland and barrett to my shakes if i know i dont have chance to make my next meal whole foods.. if i dont add it i sometimes get an upset stomach which i have put down to not enough fibre in some meals.

personally im not a big believer in NEEDING slow digesting proteins on an evening, my opinion (it could be wrong) is that if your eating 7 meals a day anyways then a small break whilst your sleeping isnt the end of the world as your body has gotten used to this over its lifetime anyways! - mind i do always have my last meal at bedtime!
