flaxseed oil contains healthy fats.. these are called EFAs - Essential Fatty Acids.. the keyword here being essential!

EFAs are used in the body for many different things, lots of people have them lacking in their diets.

flaxseed oil is a source of one EFA (cant remember which one, omega 3, 6 or 9?)

adding flax oil to your diet is a good thing if its lacking in EFAs. however research has shown that a combination of omega 3, 6, 9 EFAs is better than just one alone. the most popular product containing this blend is called Udos Oil however holland and barrtt sell a direct replacement called optimum oil.

All 3 Lee mate!! , but predominantly Omega 3.

Which fats you add to your diet does depend largely on what you take in within your normal diet. Typically western society has a high omega 6 & 9 content, therefore 20-30ml flax oil will help balance this out to a healthier ratio.

Hi mate

Flaxseed oil can be bought in liquid / capsule or seed form, all obtainable from Holland and Barrett. Definately a supplement worth taking, specially when on low carb diets,

R
