Sports oxyshot arrives in a small plastic container (see picture): ![]() The quality of the packaging is excellent, and no external measuring container is required because the bottle itself has a self-measuring vacuum used to 'soak up' the required amount. The taste of the product is unfortunately the same as freshly chlorinated water. Its not disgusting however, and if you another drink nearby then one sip of it after taking the sports oxyshot and the taste has gone. I started taking the product at 10ml in the morning, and half an hour before training on an empty stomach. I felt that I was more 'up for it' in the gym, but nothing too major, and its hard to pinpoint whether it is the oxyshot doing it or any of the other factors (caffeine, food etc). So for 5 days I tried 10ml in the morning, and 20ml before training. In this period I noticed that my endurance was up - managing to hit a higher amount of reps on my high-rep sets, and actually gained well in terms of strength. I think the difference that the sports oxyshot gives is that of a small dose of ephedrine, or some stimulant, whereby you are able to push it just that 5% harder than if you didn't have anything. I took 40ml on an empty stomach, 1 hour before playing squash with a friend, who is a really advanced player. I can tell you that I walked all over him. I felt like I could run forever, and that every shot, however awkward to get to, i was able to deliver good power to. I beat him 3 - 0 when normally it would be the other way round. Summary and conclusion: This product definitely has an effect on the aerobic capacity of your lungs. The energy I have experienced at the end of high rep sets under non-dosed conditions was definitely lower than whilst on sports oxyshot. I believe that there is a place for this product in medium-distance cardio-intensive sports, like squash, tennis, rugby. I do not believe that for very long distance (marathon running) or very short distance/power sports (powerlifting) that this product plays much of a role. However in training for those sports, and in weightlifting/bodybuilding where a higher rep range of >15 would be used, I think this product could provide another 5% performance on top - which is possibly significant at the higher levels of any sport. Would I use it again? I think that if I took my squash more seriously and started playing more regularly, I might be tempted to buy some. However for the weightlifting/bodybuiding lifestyle that I currently adhere to, rarely going above 10 reps, I personally do not see its benefits vs cost. However if you have some extra cash for a supplement and you aren't sure what to buy, give oxyshot a go. I would like to personally thank Andy Pea**** @ oxygensupply.co.uk for letting me take part in the trial, he has been exceptional in terms of his communication and friendliness throughout the trial.
