Default Which creatine??

Looking at starting creatine again, but trying to choose the right one!!

Have been thinking of either Reflex Creapure or BSN No Explode.

Any thoughts on these?

Would be good to hear what other people recommend!

Have also been thinking of using ZMA by USN, to go with the creatine.

Thanks for any help.

Nick.

Creatine is an intracellular energy source used during muscle contractions, creatine is used for everything from deadlifts to blinking your eyes.

With regards to it stopping stopping you burning fat I would strongly disagree.

Creatine is used as an energy source when you start going catabolic, that is it will be used for energy before your body starts using protein for energy, thus saving your hard earned muscle tissue.

Fat is the bodies preferred energy source during anaerobic exercise, carbs are utilised during aerobic work.

Some Creatine may possibly get used during exercise BUT considering the body can only hold 5-6g at its upper limits and there is naturally 2.5-3g without supplementation even if all the creatine in the body was burned first before fat or carbs as an energy source we are talking about 24 calories worth of energy.

This should be enough to show the info you read is incorrect streetlife.

yes this is something which creatine does.. it draws water into the muscle along with the energy (ATP) which creatine gives directly to the muscle.. making your muscles stronger due to more directly available energy, and also bigger due to the water held within them... and as they have more nutrients within them they get a better pump!

so yes when you stop your creatine you will lose the added size/pump that it has given you... however over this time you should have been able to work harder in the gym so if your diet is good you should have made some gains!

creatine will NOT stop you losing fat! i know lots of people who get into contest ready shape whilst still taking creatine.. both those who use steroids and those who dont!

personally when i do use creatine i only use it post training to help transport nutrients (proteins/carbs/water) into the muscles...

i would also only reccomend ZMA as a sleep aid so only take before bed... although i do use it religously as it does really improve the quality of my sleep!

NO Explode i have not tried personally... BUT i have a friend who used it recently... he pumped up quite alot in quite a short peroid of time... although since stopping it the pump in the muscle has gone and he is holding ridiculous quantities of water around his body.. his ankles are like an old womans! lol... now im not sure if its down to teh no explode or not... but if i had to hazard a guess thats what i would say!

so id say stick to normal creatine! www.extremenutrition.co.uk do a good one which matches any other on the market... and musclechat users get 25% discount when bought online.. so cant go wrong!
