Default Whey Protein

Hi,

i have recently started taking whey protein twice a day, and since doing so i have found my sweating has increased dramatically. Does anyone else find whey protein has this effect on them? If so is there any way of reducing the side effect?

cheers, BigDom

bigdom,

i'm inclined to say (and no offence), your imagining it, or its related to something else entirely.

Whey protein is just a source of protein, like chicken breast, or tuna for example... theres no real phsyiological reason why it would cause 'dramatic' sweating.

However, its possible that you are allergic to a certain ingredient in your particular whey protein blend, or maybe lactose intolerant. Do you get similar problems with dairy products? Which brand of whey is it?

Nick

hi thanks for the reply.

i'm currently using extreme whey and as for dairy products ive never really had any problems with them.

i may stop using whey protein for a while and see if that actually is the cause of the problem.

thanks, BigDom

Dom, Thats kind of thrown me, in 6.5 years I've never heard of this before.

Are you natural, whats your weight like and has anything else changed in your life (e.g. are you bulking and have jacked up your calories lately)?

Extreme Whey is really low in lactose so that should not be a concern.

Let me know as I'm keen to get to the bottom of this one.

Hi,

Im currently 110.4 kg (243 lb) and i'm completely natural the only thing i take are whey protein shakes. Recently i have actually started to reduce my calories and everything else in my life has stayed pretty consistent.

Maybe it's just caused by exam stress.

thanks. BigDom

Keep me informed if things change at all either way, if our products are playing a part in your problem I'd appreciate knowing and possibly looking into how to resolve it.

How old are you?

17 at 243lbs, no offence in my assumption that you are pretty overweight,

Sweating etc could just be a combination of many things related to the fact that you may be burning off your fat stores, or building muscle (both things which heat up the body), i severely doubt it would be related to the whey protein.

all the best

Nick
