I know that taking BCAAs has AN effect (but not a huge effect) on insulin, and if whey does truly spike insulin then is it best to stay away from it when follow low carb diets such as I am doing, with high fat, as the insulin could promote lipogenesis (fat storage)? Taken from a post on Avant labs forums (see full thread here: http://www.avantlabs.com/forum/index...howtopic=22489 - see the post by 'trouble' ), they argue that whey will spike insulin, particularly : "The whey for breakfast will jack your insulin up like crazy with those oats." Any thoughts? Nick ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |

I think this is where multiple sources are important in allowing the insuling to have something to work with as it courses through your bloodstream. www.extremenutrition.co.uk ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition! The body craves glycogen and so will oxidise the whey into carbs, so isolate atfer training alone is pointless ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition!
