Default Creatine course

Hey again,

Ive bought 4 tubs of expolosive creatine, each tub has about 903g of creatine in. Ive gone through 2 tubs now so was wondering whether to come off it for abit and then take the last 2 tubs or if it would benifit me better just taking the whole lot straight through.

what do you all reccomend.

It's not ideal, but it's not terrible. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and don't get too dehydrated.

Maxi, how much creatine do you think is in each tub?

I think if you look you'll see there's just over 100gr in your 900gr tub!

You've paid for dextrose and the other "wonder" ingredients they list,
INGREDIENTS PER SERVING
DEXTROSE 33g
MICRONISED CREATINE 5g
TAURINE 1g
L-ARGININE 1g
X-PHOSPHATES 800mgs
CITRIC ACID 950mgs
I'm guessing there's around 22 or 23 servings per tub, honestly mate this stuff is not good value for money, its a mediocre product which is pretty expensive for what it is.

Staying on it for longer will not do you any harm.

visit one of the supplement sites on the home page and check out the individual ingredients , buy in bulk, mix at home and pour the mixture into containers (also bought from the web).

With a bit of time and effort you can save yourself a lot of money.

I've started buying some of my supps from www.bulkpowders.co.uk as i'm on a tight budget, (ex-wife and 2 kids to pay for lol).
their creatine ethyl ester is about a fiver for 100g pot, and i'm quite impressed with it.
Only downside is the taste , its really bad lol, but i usually take it with cranberry & blueberry juice which almost masks the taste

Yeah, the taste is pretty bad. They now offer capsulated CEE now though, which is what i'm using. Hardly more expensive than the powder

We do 750g of micronised creatine monohydrate for RRP £25, with your Musclechat discount guys (25% off) it works out at £18.75 which equates to £2.50 per 100g.

Its 99.8% pure proven by HPLC testing.

Sorry for the shameless plug but everyone seems to rant about Bulk and Myprotein and their wonder deals.

maxi

What's your aim for taking creatine? What results are you looking to achieve? Are you on a budget or does it not matter?

There are so many different types of creatine out there from basic pure monohydrate to advanced creatine transport systems designed to push as much creatine into the muscles as possible.

When the muscles hold as much creatine as possible you become far more explosive and your strength increases quicker.

You'll get good results from using creatine monohydrate on its own but i think you get better results from using a creatine trasnport system. You'll end up paying double the price for a transport system than a normal tub of creatine monohydrate.

But it's personal preference and down to budget, a few years ago when i was a student and on a tight budget i used to use a tsp (5g) of Extreme Creatine Monohydrate in luke warm water/diluted juice with a tsp (5g) of dextrose (you can get dextrose powder for like a £1 from health food stores) and it was your very own home made craetine transport system. The dextrose helps carry the creatine into the muscles more efficiently just like these fancy transport sytems i'm talking about.

See what you think?

Monohyrate has always been a good solid supp for me. Save yourself some money and get plain mono and dextrose and have it postworkout. I have cee pre and mono post with whey and dex and i have gained strength and muscle with some great pumps(not that they indicate growth!)
