Default Pea Protein Isolate

Is this any good? has anyone used it?

I ask because I'm looking for a new protein powder source other than whey.

Just taking a look at it's amino profile, it isn't bad. Although it has a lower content of EAAs than Whey protein.

think its meant to taste pretty sick

personally if i was looking for a switch i'd go for something like a blend containing 70% egg and maybe 30% soy.

Pea protein is supposedly the best vegetable sourced protein for human consumption and is not a common allergy source if you have sensitive guts,

Vegetable protein is meant to be missing one or more essential amino acids, but this appears not to be the case with pea protein when looking at the amino acid profile?

That is a common misconception - multiple plant based proteins are complete.

mattvik,

we don't really appreciate 'pimping' of certain supplement companies for personal gain, its tiring to see; it causes tension with the other companies sponsoring this site and generally makes you look like you only want credit in your MP account and your an advert.

I think an honest opinion should be allowed wherever. Your opinion doesn't seem genuine but then no supplement affiliate is ever genuine because they all whore products. Personally I agree to a point that myprotein are a good compnay but this same message has been posted 4 times give it a rest.

Also I don't like the because one company sponsors a board people shouldn't be allowed to say they have very favourable opinions of others and post good deals. Surely the only right a sponsor has is to get first go at presenting there own products are rebut accusations of poor quality and unfavourable comparisons. I fail to see why if Matt's opinion is genuine he shouldn't be allowed to express it although I doubt his opinion is in all honesty.

Also my protein bulk protein tastes like arse IMO but then I'm sure bulk powders does too. Nothing against them but I can't stomach unflavoured.
