Default Of the protein powders you have tried, which were the best?

I know this topic has been done to death but if we have a sticky on this, new members will be able to see this and take positive advice from it.

Personally, I have had great success with Dymatize Elite Whey, because its cheap and tasty. However it doesn't mix easily, and quality varies from batch to batch.

The best protein i've tried is ON gold standard rocky road, except its slightly more expensive than Dymatize Elite.

So if you dont mind spending an extra £5 - £7 on a 5lb tub, my vote is ON gold standard.

[haven't tried Extreme whey, so didn't factor it into my vote.]

Nick

I used Peak Body a few years ago, but since then bulkpowders unflavoured...dirt cheap.

Think I will try some Dymatize next for a change as it does seem reasonably priced.

Nick, How dare you not mention Extreme Whey! lol

MyProtein unflavoured WPC80, mixes excellently and tastes of nothing when in milk (just how I like it).

I have also tried reflex Instant Whey banana flavour in the past and found it discusting.

Are you aware that Bulkpowders WPC is around half the price? I can also say from experience that i'd much rather deal with them than MP.

Protein foods/drinks are an acquired taste. After a year of it, Chocolate Mint + water will taste amazing - yet somehow your friends will fail to see it. It happened to me

Garnell choc orange, banana, mixes well and tastes great. Met Rx Strawberry tasted awfull. Dymatize Elite best value mixes well, best if left to stand for 2 min before drinking.

I've tried a number of protein powders, but at the moment I'm using BulkPowders unflavours Whey Protein Concentrate. It's dirt cheap and mixes completely, and i can easily down it witout having to add flavouring (altho black star labs flavourings are really good).

When money becomes less tight and i get more of my protein from whole foods, i'll revert to Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey - the strawberry flavour is brilliant and you know it's high quality stuff.
