Currently I plan to take BCAAs throughout the day in 'inbetween' period between eating and training, throughout training and first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Also perhaps if I wake up in the middle of the night. So 3 - 5 grams, 6 - 8 times a day. I was planning to take a 5 gram dose of EAAs before and after training, and then in the middle of the night when I wake up. I'm not afraid to use a lot of these supplements and my aim is to avoid catabolism at all costs whilst cutting. Money isn't really an issue (before anybody suggests it, no i'm not going to consider buying AAS if money isn't an issue to use whilst cutting Obviously, I already have a solid protein routine in terms of diet and whey supplementation, i will be having 2 scoops of whey protein isolate post workout with oats, and 1/2 a scoop with 20 grams dextrose when i finish weights and go to cardio for 30 minutes. Taken alongside the bcaas/eaas of course. Any thoughts on the best times to take BCAAs and EAAs? Nick ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |

When you eat protein, following hydrolization in the stomach (digestion), the amino acids eventually make their way into your bloodstream, and can be used by tissues such as skeletal muscle, or organs like the liver. You take amino acids either when you want to push your blood aminos way above baseline (i.e. before or during a hard workout, or first thing in the morning, or during the night, etc), or at a time when there is a window of opportunity (post-workout). In terms of BCAAs vs EAAs, I consider BCAAs only to really be anti-catabolic, whereas EAAs are more anabolic, as they contain a wider range of requirements. I would use BCAAs as your generic anti-catabolic aid, and EAAs at times when you want a bit of anabolic support (think post workout). |

BCAA's are the only supp proven to have an anti - catabolic effect (some say glutamine and pscarb says he gets good results but the science isn't there IMO) Raz has given a good protocol there. I really would make sure that your supps are by your bed ready quality sleep is way more important than eating during sleep as long as you eat first thing and you eat steadily towards bedtime your nitrogen balance shouldn't become negative. |

You guys don't understand my sleep patterns, its normal for me to wake up 10 or more times every night, 2 of those times I will probably go to the toilet - so its easy to take some bcaas. Nick ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - | |
