Default Whey too much ????

the other week I purchased my 1st pure whey from BULK SUPPLEMENTS - cant recomend the Co enough! The order was on my door step less than 24hrs after I placed it, and the stuff is great.

Now for a bit of advice if you will please!

I know the recommendation of grams of protien per lb of body weight, I was just wondering if it is ok to take a lot of pure whey to ensure I have those optimum levels. I am currently taking 45g of whey in a pint of skimed milk 4 x aday I work this out at aprox 200g of protien - what do you think?

Also I bought some L Glutamine but I don't know what dose to combine, I have a tub of creatine that I stopped using at Xmas and was wondering how I should work these three supplements. Hope you can help and look forward to your replies.

PS - (bit of back ground info) I am trying to pack on some muscle - I am weight training M & W & F - I run a Taekwon do class and this in addition to my own Martial arts training , means that I am training 7 hour a week doing CV work. I realise that I will never be of Bodybuilding proportions with this trainig schedule -but am looking to try and obtain a solid "fighters style" physique. I was wasting away before buying the Whey but even after a week or so I can notice my body improving .

sorry to waffle on - all the best

yours in sport

its fine, as long as you are getting plenty of protein from other sources, personally i wouldn't want to be consuming more than 50% of my daily protein intake from ANY single food source

i also consume plenty of whey shakes (around 6 scoops a day right now), but 4 of them bracket my workouts, and the other ones compliment my eggs (in the morning) and cottage cheese (before bed), remember whey is to be used as a 'supplement' to an already solid diet, i wouldn't advise living off the stuff!

I think the key to maintaining/adding as much muscle as possible is being rigorous about supplementing protein prior to exercise (of all types). A whey shake 30 mins before will give you elevated blood aminos for the majority of your workout (providing it's not ridiculously long), and a carb drink will block cortisol via insulin - if you keep those things in mind, you should be ok.

With regards to your protein intake, it obviously depends on your size.
