Looks good, especialy the Colostrum Extract.

But the Maltodextrin (you dont want insulin spikes though the night.) and Whey before bedtime isnt usefull at all. But you cant take them out.

I really doubt it burns any fat at all.

It looks like an decent night time drink.
Thats my veiw.

As far as I know it, it is VITAL to get some last protein injection into your body before you goto bed. The reason is that when you are asleep it is the longest part of the 'day' that you have no protein injections (because obviously u dont eat whislt ur asleep!!)
SO the idea is to have a slow-releasing protein supplement before bed that will slowly give you a protein injection throughout the night.

But Whey is digested in 30-60 minutes meaning it wouldnt be any good. Witch is why they have the Casein and Cesinates that are perfect for bedtime as they are slowly diggested over 8 hours.

From what Ive read you need both in a night time protein drink you need the fast acting Whey for the initial hour or so of sleep then the Casein and Cesinates give a slow release.

You also need something to give a slow release of insulin.

http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...20/ai_98488573

Most of the night time proteins Ive checked up on contain Whey protein Isolate as well as Casein.

the following is a quote from this web address
http://www.lamuscle.com/warp/navigat...?d=products&o=

"As a result and to cut costs, some companies have started mixing whey with cheap casein or soy and purporting it to be better. All foods pass the stomach within 45 minutes; casein just sits in your intestines, doing nothing. It is a cheap and outdated protein. If you want little results, wind, bloating, allergies and a general wasting of your money"

not sure what to make of that?

What quote? That link just takes you to the LA Muscle product page.

If you dont want to add fat, you shouldnt have carbs before bed or during sleep. If the carbs dont get used into glycogen (energy) then they get stored as fat, this product says it reduces fat, maybe not so true.

Im sure if that was true, there wouldnt be a market for it, meaning it wouldnt be availible. So that cannot be completely true.

DTA, dont trust anyone.

The quote comes from the description of the product if you click on LA Whey.

It may have basis of truth as far as night time protein drinks go as I've just checked up on one of the more expensive ones as well as the one recommended by Flex and theres no casein in it.

SomnaBol-PM Ingredients:
NitroVarin - A Proprietary Slow-release Formula containing a Protein Blend of the following: Whey, milk & wheat concentrates [with proline, leucine, aspartic acid, lysine, serine, threonine, histidine, isoleucine, valine, phenylalanine, tyrosine, alanine, arginine, glycine, methionine, cystine, & tryptophan], fructose, dutch cocoa, peptide bonded glutamine, soy bean oil, maltodextrin, natural & artificial flavor, lecithin, & a vitamin & mineral blend [Vitamin A, Vitamin E, copper & selenium]) & SomnaBol Proprietary Blend of the following: A mixture containing magnesium, aspartate, zinc chelazome, Vitamin B6 [pyridoxine], valerian root extract, passion flower extract, & chamomile extract.

I agree with DTA though only way to be sure is to try it and see what results you get....

It also claims to raise test levels 33% but seeing as this is because it contains Zinc, Magnesium and Vit B6 in it, it probably just helps keep test levels high.

Our Extreme Protein has 76.5% protein and only around 5% carbs and 4% fat and is 4 protein sources, 22 aminos and is 22% glutamic acid!

Compare this to Muscletech Night Time, Pro Peptide, or any other blend of proteins then compare the price, we blow everyone away.
