Im thinking 1 tin of tuna in about pint of water Vs the good old 2 scoops of protein powder in pint of whole milk. Im sure each one will have there own benefits but I am very interested to see how opinions vary. Any comments would be much appreciated, and also if anyone has any other protein concoctions Im all ear's.......................................... ______________________ eat t-bone steak's and lift barbell plates! |

Tuna has a really poor amino acid content unlike a quality protein powder, so you may digest 60 grams of protein but once your body chops up the available amino acids in an attempt to manufacture the ones it needs that tuna doesn't contain you may only have 30 grams of usable protein. If you had a tuna drink with a boiled egg blended in or eaten alongside then that would be a different story...... ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition! i didnt even realise tuna had a poor amino acid profile, i just ate 2 cans just now :P usually when i have tuna,,,, i have rice tuna and 2 eggs, and maybe a small glass of milk, depending on how i feel. so i think i am fairly safe with the amino part | |
