I understand that, but surely working on ur stomach would make it smaller rather than bigger if he's carrying a fat around that region?

I actually dont do any ab work as its not the look im going for so i could well be talking out of my arse but id expect to have to do sit ups/crunches etc if i wanted to reduce my gut.

Yep, but not through fat loss, it'd be from tightening up the ab muscles.

PETE your right but working out will reduce the fat on his stomach a little, the rest needs some cardio work.

VINGER it would actually make the stomach look larger due to the increased muscle density under the fat, but I do see the point you are trying to make but unfortunatly it does not work like that.

Just my 2 cents

You'd have to add a lot of muscle to your abs to make your stomach noticably bigger!
Just try training your abs regularly for a month and see the difference, your waist will be smaller.

I would need to know your BMI & actual fat content is before I can answer that one properly, but to give you an idea:

1.5 grams of protien per lb of bodyweight

4 grams of carbs per lb of bodyweight

And as little fat as you can till you get your fat content down to an acceptable level you set yourself.

I can go into a hell of a lot more detail, but that depends how serious you are about doing this......

Let me know

I thought you trained BB Pete, you can add alot of muscle to your abs in a very short period of time due to them being a small muscle group, you can trian them every day if you want to.
