Hi there
I'm Robert. I'm planning to loose some weight and get in better shape before summer. Could anyone advise me what soft of excercise would be best to achive my goals: 1st to loose a belly, 2nd to make my chest look better. My details are: i'm 27 years old, heart bmp = 85 - 90. 198cm height (6,5 ft) 165kg weight (360 pounds) Personally I fill fit, I play tennis, do hiking, even play rugby from time to time. I got no problem with walking long distances (10km / 6miles) trips. I don't have any pain in back or any other health problems. But I'm aware that after 30's my bones/joints wouldn't be that great forever. So i want to do something before it happens I started going to gym for about 1 month now. (3 days a week = 2 days excercises, 1 day just swiming pool, relax, sauna) I'm really confused about all this type of excercise you can do in there and an effect they bring to you. So I need some guide. I got a strong legs and honesly don't wont to do much work on it. they are solid and muscled. but anything above a belt is crap I'm desperate to get my liposuction, but i gave myself a last change to do it "natural" way. I'm not sure about a results I can achive in a year / or two. I don't expect to have a 6-pack or be another Arnie Perfectly I'd like to transform some of my weight into a muscles. and burn the rest. Also I'm not sure about using any "supplements" as I'm not used to take any medicines through my entire life, and I just dont like artificial chemicals gets into my body. Are they nessesary ? if so which ones ? cheers rob |

Hi rob, to lose belly fat you need to eat a clean diet, your sporting activities seem to be adequate as far as weight loss is concerned so the diet must be suspect. Post your diet the guys on here will check it over for you. As it happens the chest is one of the easiest body parts to train, as a newbie to the gym you should be able to train your chest at least twice per week and should get good results by the summer. Dont neglect training the rest of the body, train heavy, rest and recover

^^^^ Agreed, you do alot of sporting activities so there would be no need to do any cardio unless its just to improve your overall fitness which i doubt is a problem anyways. Chest exercises like the bench press, dips and flyes will help shape your chest for the summer. Training the rest of your body would be more beneficial in the long run even if its just light until you get used to it. Your diet would be nice to see. ______________________ Age - 21 Weight - 160lbs/73Kg Height - 5"10 Bench - 95Kg Squat - 150Kg Bulking Up - Mon 23 February 2009 - Mid July 2009 |
