You will need to give each of these 100% and get someone to show you how to power clean. I would say perform the following twice per week, anymore and given the compound movement you mat not recover. Remember intensity is key! Back Squats warm up then 4 x 8 Power cleans 5x5 Bench Press warm up then 4 x8 Push press 3x8 Chins 4x8 ______________________ Better a Lion for a single day than a Mouse for a thousand years. |

Sucess is not a overnight thing, you need to take the pain and stick with it through the boring and the good times. Just suck it up otherwise when you start doing rugby with the men your going to have 18 stone 30 year olds abuseing you like theres no tommorow that would have been my motivation to continue to stick to a decent gym program. Its crucual that you get enough strenght/size to hang with the men you dont have long howard. |

There's no room for being half arsed with such a routine - not that there ever is but I guess I'm saying such raw compound movements are going to be as tough on the mind as body if executed properly. I’ve had good results following similar programs for strength and conditioning. Howard - I totally echo Wogi’s comments I played county colts and not being heavy but fast carried me a long way, when I moved up to first team club level Rugby boy did I get a shock, I got hit at full pelt by a 20 stone guy coming the other way – I feigned one way dodged the other and he didn’t take the bait, I’ve never been so bloody sore in my life, bruised all the way down my RHS to say nothing for my ego. Train hard and eat hard you need some solid muscle mass it you’re going anywhere with Rugby!. ______________________ Better a Lion for a single day than a Mouse for a thousand years. |

| Illuminati | indeed gazz so a strength/power type routine with lots of rest would be the way to go rather than volume for a natural trainer? or do you think that volume training suits a typical ectomorph who is drug free? ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |
