Smile Re: shin splints help

I met an icelandic cyclist who at the age of 79 was cycling across europe for the nth time ! he used to do a handstand for 15 mins to drain blood & toxins from the legs.

Similarly, a guy in our tri club was training for iron-man, his strategem was to place books under the base of his bed, so his legs would be higher when he was sleeping.

hi mate,
I had real bad shin pains when I first started boxing. the best thing I can recommend is good running trainers. Go for something like asics which are designed purely for running. Also what type of surface are you skipping on? If it's not a sprung surface (like a wooden sprung floor) then I would stop the skipping altogether.
