If your fat, loose the excess then bulk. thats what I would do. If your skinny then bulk. |

Two things were said to me that have stuck with me from my early days of bodybuilding, “You don’t know what muscle you’ve got until you’re in contest shape” and “You can’t flex fat” Now in hind site I probably wasn’t ready to compete the first time I did but it was invaluable to see what I looked liked properly lean, as weak points are much more visible when in condition. So if you’re already lean then the first course of action may be to start building as much as possible AKA bulking, If you’re not then in my opinion you need to get something like lean to know what you’re working with, this might not be contest shape but something reasonably close. A few of the shows I've competed in the judges have lined the female competitors up on stage and told them which class they are in based on their overal look, which seems really confusing to me but I suppose if you're clear on the criteria of the class you'd know what you were aiming for... One of the female competitors would be able to tell you an approx percentage dependant on class and give you advise on what look you should be trying to achieve for whichever class... ______________________ Better a Lion for a single day than a Mouse for a thousand years. |

Cheers for that. Think i will just aim for getting my bodyfat percentage down to around 10-15% as a baseline then. And then go from there as once lean the idea will then be to put more muscle on. So pre-comp will be able to cut down to what i need to i guess. Does that make sense or am i talking outta my backside. ![]()

Funny you should say that currently following a carb timing plan. where have 1 or 2 carb days. Only been doing for a few weeks but is working wonders. Just wasnt too sure how far to go with the fat loss really, but the x2 mnths time scale sounds like a good idea. ![]()
