Default muscle maintenance

Hello all, this may be a stupid question, but I was wondering what people would recomend to someone who didn't particularly want to get much bigger but wanted to maintain their physique and size? What kind of weight or rep range, exercises etc.

Thanks peeps.

i would have thought that if the diet was adapted, you could carry on training as you were (might be wrong tho), what were your rep ranges before mate?

Thats the thing I tend to mix it up, if I train each bodt part 2x a week, I do pyramid setting on heavy days starting with a set of 15-20 reps working my way heavier until my maximum when I do about 3-6 reps. The other body part session, I do high reps sometimes as many as 30-45 reps or I'll do a pre exhaust routine with say 12 lateral raises or flies followed by 8 shoulder presses or bench press.

you can still train hard but taylor your diet.
nutrition will be the key to maintaining a small quality physiqe.
like they say you go to eat big to be big

oh and its not a stupid question m8 as long as you are happy with what you look like being big isnt for everyone . quality and proportion can have a far more visual impact than size.

thanx both. Do u think it might be a good idea to try a whole body routine maybe three times a week rather than a more intense split??

Why don't you give it a try...This might be the perfect time for a switch and see which one adapts to your current lifestyle better. Good luck, keep us posted on your choices.

i would imagine a full body workout about 3 times a week would be sufficiant to simply maintain your size
