Angry AC Joint hell!!!

av suffered from an AC joint injury foe last 6 month on and off, it has formed a lump on my shoulder where am guessing the injury is. av been to physio loads of times and he says the lump will always be there but might ease down but just gets worse and he says to use gentle exercise and ice on it said thats prity much all u can do for it , am sure there must be some other means of helping it? has any u guys suffered from it and how did u over come it any info wud be gratfull cheers
