Everytime i finish a biceps workout (which i combine with a back workout) i always leave the gym with aching wrists. It generally occurs directly after doing a few sets of EZ-bar preacher curls. Has anyone got any tips of avoiding this OR of strengthening your wrist muscles? |

| Illuminati | you could try doing some bicep curls across the body instead of infront using DB`s ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |

In my case, i think it was because my wrist was under strain when using a barbell to curl. I found it much more comfortable to use an EZ bar or dumbells. If u find u are still a bit tender, try hammer curls or as Cal said, do them across the body. |

Wrist pain is common when straight bar curling, the EZ bar was designed to alleviate this problem. if you still get pain when curling and keeping the wrist straight, try a slightly wider grip. straight bar curling is great at 'hitting' the peak of the bicep in my opinion, as the movement almost supinates your wrist for you automatically. if these tips don't work, wrist wraps are cheap enough and they will help a bit. |

I presumed i had my grip wrong so i asked more of the meat heads to show me there and it was identical. my form is as good as i can make it. so i really dont understand, i never used to get this when i used to bench a similar weight. can someone please give suggestions on how to overcome this? |

| Illuminati | are you gripping the bar as tight as you can and keeping your wrist straight or allowing the weight of the bar to bend your wrist backwards? lol the meatheads- doesnt mean they use great form... ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |
