Boarder, do you use a Smith machine to bench? I find if I do and twist the bar myself I get serrious wrist pain, I've only got small joints so they don't handle the load brilliantly.

It is possible you've fractured one of the smaller bones in your wrists this has happened to me, both at the same time, I think I probably damaged them using poor form breaking boards but it presented as pain when pressing? I got some inzer wrist wraps to support them and carried on after a few months stopped using them as I figured the wrists had healed - If the pain is bad the sensible thing would be to get them checked out, I felt daft going to the doctors but when he suggested x-rays I was shocked I'd got fractures

ouch! i really hope i aint put myself out of action for a bit. They only hurt for around 30-60mins after, they just felt sore after that for a day or 2. erm... i dont use a smith machine but its a machine bench press. as in a little bar going across connected to slots of weights. il really try and make sure im watching my wrist moves. yes i do have relatively small wrists aswell, so i guess im putting too much strain on them not doing it properly. thanks for your comments mate

you could always wrap your wrist to increase stability. Do you have an previous injuries or fractures to this wr? Is the pain bilateral?
