Default Overtraining?

Hello all,
I was just after a little advice. Yesterday, I had a strange day at the gym, not doing anything in particular, just a variety of chin ups and them some tricep work. This morning my lats and triceps are a bit stiff but I had planned to go to the gym this morning to do a full chest session. Is this advisable with stiff triceps??

Thanx everyone

Sounds like you may have DOMS mate. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. I still have it in my hams, glutes and lower back from deadlifting on Monday.

If you feel fine then go for it.

(I'm hoping to get some Musclular Uniform Fibre Fatigue later)

I personally would never train triceps the day before I was going to do I chest session, and if I had stiff triceps I definatley wouldnt even attempt it. If you are going to train triceps dirrectly, then why not do it after your chest workout...maybe a few few sets after your benching or whatever?

I ussually do, but I had a day free yesterday when I wouldn't ussually go to the gym so I thought, to hell with I'll go anyway and ended up just doing odds and sods. I ended up going today and it wasn't to bad. I ussually try to exhaust my chest with flys first followed immediatley by benchpress, this seems to put the focus more on the chest rather than the tri's. I shouldn't have any problems like that in the future as I will stick to my routine and avoid spontanious visits to the gym which just seem to mess up my routines. Thanx guys.
