Default Help with training and weight

After a very long illness I had put on around 3 extra stone,Due to just being laid up and scoffing chocolate with little or no exercise.

3 weeks ago I kicked myself in gear and went to my local gym

First weigh in I was 15st 8lbs , I go to the gym 3 times a week with around 30-40 minutes of cardio and around 45 minutes of weights.

My weight dropped down to 15 stone,Which I was really happy about,But after training today I have gone back to 15st 7lbs.

I have cut all crap out of my diet and I am eating around 5 times a day.
Taking cyclone supplements before and after training.

I do look like weight is coming off but am worried why it has gone down and back up again so quickly. I know some people say dont keep and eye on the figures and as I am feeling very good physically Im not going to stress about it.

Just wanted some advice as to why this has happened. the weighing ,machine is a electronic one and did make my height around 3 inches shorter than normal so could it be the machine has gone loopy?

Any help and advice is greatly welcolmed as I am determined to keep up my weights and cardio, I would like to end up around 13 stone 5 to 14 stone and to be a more muscled because of illness I lost alot of my muscle.

Im 6 foot tall and weigh I think 15 stone 2 but who knows now.

With Thanks
Simon f

Muscle weighs heavier than fat so if you have put more muscle on then your weight would of increased so dont worry

lmao Jim55

Thats like saying a pound of feathers weighs less than a pound of lead...

A pound is still a pound...

Muscle is denser than fat - so fat has a greater volumetric size - approx 30% more - than muscle.

Hope that helps.

Summary: Muscle density is 1.06 g/ml and fat density is (about) 0.9
g/ml. Thus, one liter of muscle would weight 1.06 kg and one liter of
fat would weight 0.9 kg. In other words, muscle is about 18% denses
than fat. This should not be confused with the "energy density" of
muscle and fat

Conclusion could leave one to believe muscle does weigh more than fat.

lmfao.I needed that!

Simon, people are correct, don't fuss too much with scales or you will demoralize yourself.Your overall bodyweight will fluck chew 8 in the short term.Mine does too.Its vital that you cut ou the junk and keep up the exercise regime.Less fat/calories in.More fat/calories out.Try taking a quick snap of yourself now and again in a months time.If you've kept it up you should see a noticable difference.Thats the best motivation you can get imo!

good training frequency dude.
try and find a cheaper alternative to cyclone tho-
theres plenty of other brands that will do the same job for far few pennies.
i was given some cyclone recently and altho i did use it, it sure as hell tasted rank.
if youre going to the gym and eating well forget the scales and go by how your clothes fit of the mirror.
get yourself a good routine together based on compound exercises and things will happen!

I thought this analogy could use another look at... A pound of feathers is equal to a pound of Lead but not a pound of Gold
