Default I would like to tone up A LOT

Hi

I've just joined this forum and am posting my first thread.

I would like to keep fit for obvious reasons but also as a way of relieving stress. I'm hoping to tone up and I know this sounds shallow but my ideal would be to look like this:

http://us.imdb.com/gallery/ss/038106...th_key=0381061

I am slim, reasonably fit, I'm in my 20's (younger than Daniel Craig, might I add) and I would like to know what it takes to tone up and be able to disrobe with pride.

What diet, exercises, equipment are needed? What sort of timescale would I be looking at?

I can't stand salads to be honest but I am well prepared to take all the necessary disgusting foods and blend them into a drink, pinch my nose and gulp it down if it means I get the necessary nutrients.

I understand that high protein drinks may be needed. I really am a newcomer to all of this so would appreciate any advice.

When would I start to see any noticeable change if I stuck to a regular routine?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Thumbs down

hi and welcome to the forum. ul find everything you need on this site to introduce you to lifting weights and building up your phisique. First question that needs answering is - do you use weights? and how often.

Basically in the pic you show of Daniel Craig hes not just slimmed down, in fact hes bulked up big time from other films iv seen him in and then hes probably introduced a reduced diet and cardio in order to rip up. Its a comman misconception that i hear from friends all the time - "i dont want to get big, i just want to tone up". Some ppl are under the impression that all they need to do to look like Daniel Craig in the pic is to do some running etc. In reality, stage one would be - learn about routines in the gym, stage two, learn about the right and wrong foods to eat, stage three, bulk up for a year or so, so that you have the necessary muscle, stage four, cut up for 6 weeks or so.

Celebrities often bulk up and down for films - for them its pretty easy because they will be provided with dietician and cooks who will provide their foods etc for them to eat. they will also have a personal trainer who will design them with a program to build muscle and then lose fat. My guess is that for Daniel Craig to have gotten into that kkind of shape he will have been working on building muscle primarily ever since he knew he was getting the bond roll. ie over a year ago

your not telling us anything about your self your diet or your training and cardio regime...I am sure you want to be muscly and toned but this takes time and alot of patience.

so let us see your daily diet meal by meal with times that you eat....
also your daily training routine and cardio if you do it a picture would also help us let you know how long it will take you...

I remember listening to Daniel Craig whilst he was being interviewed on the radio during Casino Royale's theratical release. He said that he didn't want to look "scrawny" during the topless scenes, so he went to the gym 5 times a week for a couple of months.

Join a gym if you haven't already done so, and ask a member of staff you inlist you in a program.
