How much do you mean by "a hell of a lot". It's only been a couple of weeks since you posted your photos and you didn't appear to be carrying much fat around there at all.

Have you been following the diet you were planning? Don't forget, your calorie intake has gone up a lot and if you're bulking you have to expect it. Sounds like you could be worrying un-neccesarily. But why not post up your diet for the last week and we can have a look at it

Jay - I think you're over worrying. I looked back over your earlier threads to find your starting weight and you've put on 5lb in just over 2 weeks. But in that time, you've started a new diet, new training programme and joined a gym. I can't believe that extra 5lb is all fat. I'd give it a few more weeks before panicking as your body is getting used to this new routine.

You say you're eating sandwiches "through the day at other times". How many would you eat on top of the other meals? I would try and find something to replace the extra sandwiches (even if its only the fillings!!)

don't fear fat and water gains, it will hinder your muscle gains...

Four extra sandwiches on top of everything else??? Methinks you need to cut back on them mate (lots of bread there). 5lb is a good gain (as long as its not all fat which I bet it's not)

wouldn't worry to much mate go off the mirror more than the scales you are bound to add a little fat when trying to bulk, if you think you are starting to get too fat just adjust your calorie intake down till you find the right balence and likewise if you are not growing consider increasing.
We are all diffferent and i personaly need to ease back on the carbs as the days go's on where my mate carbs out constantly and never really carries any fat.

good luck mate

i wouldnt worry has people have said.. however i would keep an eye on the situation..

5lbs is not a massive gain... but if by the time youve finished a months training.. if youve put a total of say 10lb on... ALOT of that 10lb will be fat unless your taking some kind of anabolic steroids.

at that point you will need to re-look at your diet if your not happy with that situation!
