Default How to loose fat on abs

Hi, I am new to this site but I have already learned alot from the chat.

How do I loose fat from my abs ???? My weight is 70 kgs height 5' 10'.
I am also trying to gain muscle. I do not have a lot of fat on my body but I have a 35 inch wast, this should be 30 inches.

I run five morning a week and train three evening a week without much improvment?

Can anyone help?

Hello m8,
Unfortunatley its not possible to pick and choose where the fat comes off. generally you should lose it all over and for most the gut is the last place it will come from.

All you can really do drug free is to create a caloire defecit of approx 500cals below maintenace and do some cardio.

The amount of cardio varies from person to person which could be as little as 20mins 3x a week or as much as 45 mins twice daily.

A lot believe that cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is a great fat burner.

Sorry there is no magic bullet.

Heres a link for a good diet

Dont forget to structure your diet to get the right ratios of Protein/Carbs/Fats (EFAs too).

..at 5'10" 70kg...you gotta be pretty lean to start with??... one of the problems with losing body fat is, it becomes an exercise of diminishing returns. To begin with, the fat usually falls of at a nice steady rate, but as you lose more and have less to lose, your body holds onto it as hard as it can... and everyone has those hard to get rid of areas..mine was my lower abs.

This is what i did... i ate a high protien, low carb, very low fat diet. Stayed away from potato's and bread and drank at least two litres of water a day, three litres on a good day, being very strict monday to friday and let myself go, just a little, saturday and sunday.... the problem with dieting is your matabalism soon adjusts and starts to slow down... a survival instinct, when it feels it's not getting enough calories it'll hang onto fat for as long as it can and will even start burning muscle instead. So be strict 80% of the time and then go and have the take away once a week so you give your matabalism a bit of a wake up call.

Now.. personally.. this isn't a weight-loss diet that i could do for long... i did it for three months and the weight fell off, but it was had bloody work, my energy levels / stamina were crap, but it worked.... it worked for me. If you want something, you gotta step up to the mark and go for it... nobody said it would be easy!
