Default post workout nap?

hi all. just want to clear up something i heard. Is it advisable to have a nap straight after the PWO shake. I was told that straight after an intense workout, the muscles are in need of the nutrients in the PWO shake and rebuilding takes place right away. So therefore to aid this a nap would be good? Is this true?

I am asking because I workout early in the mornings. I wake up at 6, have my oats and whey, off to the gym for 7, workout till 8, and back in bed for 8.30 for an hour or so nap.

Is this helping or not with hypertrophy?

Many thanks

As far as I'm aware, we have an increased level of testosterone/growth hormones when we sleep. So, as part of recovery and building, I'd say 30mins-1hr sleep after PWO drink training would be beneficial. Especially if you train twice a day.
I think I read somewhere that Arnold was a big fan of having a sleep in the afternoons.

thats what i thought. Although would it be better having a nap after the PWO meal instead of just the shake? Or would u think the shake has all the nutrients required for a nap to be taken?

definitely PWO shake/meal first.

If you can have a PWO nap do it, I know a few pro's and high ranking amateurs who swear by it, one being some bloke called Jeremy Gates or something.

i see thanks for the replies guys! i'll carry on having my nap after PWO shake... easier way to get the shake out of the stomach giving space for a meal

but a nap is just a nap right... no more than 2 hours... maybe less? any thoughts?

i try and get at least half an hour nap in the afternoon when ever possible.since i am my own boss this is easy for me,but for those of you who work in a proper job i know how hard that can be.All i can say is that i think it is a great advantage getting a cat nap in during the day.
