| Under Construction Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: bham Posts: 50 Rep Power: ![]() | as the title says, i'm having laser eye surgery on saturday. for the past month i have been following a bulking training programme designed to stimulate loads of hypertrophy (and it has) and a bulking diet, and have so far put on about a stone. results have been noticeable especially from mates who saw me before i started training, and now. my question is, that if i am to rest for a full week, then not allowed to go gym for the following week aswell... would i see any loss in muscle mass?? i am naturally skinny so have a very high metabolism. any advice would be much appreciated. |

I'd say that anyone who gains a lean 2lbs a week is doing very well. Any more than that and it's not all going to be muscle. If you've been taking creatine, then some of the weight could also be water, as much as 4-6lbs.I doubt that you'd notice any difference if you weren't to train for a week or so. Anyway, good luck with the Lasik. :shock: |

| Under Construction Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: bham Posts: 50 Rep Power: ![]() | oh sorry yeah its definately not a stone of lean muslce!! yeah i've got a bit of the wobbly stuff as u call it on my stomach because i accidently shocked my body into the bulking diet lol. and my body fat has increased aswell. but i have gained muscle mass as the overal mass gain is more than fat gain i.e. muscle yeah i take creatine ethyl ester so yeap some of it is water. i also had to take this week off from training because i had a cold... so i havent taken any creatine and i've seen a few pounds drop... would that be water u reckon?? thanks hopefully it will be worth it for perfect vision!! not sure if u kno alot about laser eye, but i'm goin goin for lasek... cornea is on the thin side ![]() |

| Under Construction Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: bham Posts: 50 Rep Power: ![]() | thanks extreme. yeah i've tried to eat alot but its just hard when you not training and not feeling the gains as such. jumped on the scales today... lost about 5 pounds... about 3 of those was fat though lol. yeah i'm already 100% happy with the laser eye treatment... its been a week and i can see clearly with all sensitivity and discomfort being non existent now! only have to keep up with the post treatment drops for a few months though! my surgeon said keep away from the gym for 2 weeks |
