| Under Construction Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 24 Rep Power: ![]() | ....when doing my am cardio on an empty stomach I always have a strong black coffee with no milk or sugar 30mins before. My question is and I have always wondered if the amount of coffee 2teaspoons was an adaquate amount to help facilitate fat loss? ...and what do you guys use to help with the process. |

| Under Construction Join Date: Apr 2006 Posts: 5 Rep Power: ![]() | hey buddy, i always take a couple of t-spoons of coffee before exercise and i find it works just fine and very cheap. Caffeine can raise the bodies temprature maybe 1 to 2 degrees i read somewhere. But if you can afford it there are some effective fat loss supplements out there. |

| Making Progress Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Spain Posts: 262 Rep Power: ![]() | It will raise your body temperature slightly, not sure if it's as much as 2% but that would depend on how much you take. I'd be very surprised if 2teaspoons (approx 110mg caffeine) raised your body temperature by more than 0.5 of a degree. Most people have approx 300mg of caffeine a day, but obviously not in one cup :shock: . There is also the issue of tollerance, so I only use caffeine when I'm doing cardio and even then I vary the amounts from 60mg - 200mg. This way I get the extra kick when I'm a bit lethargic but I also don't need to keep incereasing the amount I take. |
